KUALA LUMPUR: The Home Ministry issued a reprimand and took action against 10 publications between January and June this year for violation of provisions in the Printing Presses and Publications Act 1984, according to a statement Saturday.

The publications were Harian Metro, Metro Ahad, Kosmo, Oriental Daily, China Press, Nanyang Siang Pau, Uthaya Surian, Suara Keadilan, Suara Perkasa and Harakah, said secretary of the ministry’s Publications Control and Quranic Text Division Datuk Zaitun Ab Samad

WHAT ABOUT UTUSAN MALAYSIA especially its editor Zaini Hassan  ??

We all know that Utusan Malaysia is UMNO’s mouthpiece but the last 1 year, we had seen the newspaper reporting through racially-tinged articles against the party’s rivals and non-Malays. It had flame the Malays against the non-Malay especially in questioning the Chinese loyalty,  creating lies leading to DAP’s Theresa Kok to be arrested under ISA, thumping up the Allah issue, supporting those who desecrate the Hindus by stepping on the cow head in protest, etc etc. On May 20, our PM Datuk Najib only gave them advise that while  it may continue to fight for its so-called agenda to protect the nation’s majority “race, Islam and country”,  he hope Utusan to play a pivotal role in helping the government achieve its transformation plan and Utusan must also work towards handling changes. It was not even a reprimand just plain advise. And Najib till today still talk about being fair – what a load of crap and  b@#$%@$$%t ! And the joke was,  Najib ask Utusan that it should be a medium to build an intellectual culture, a critical society.
