USA Consumer Report cannot recommend the iPhone 4

Posted on July 13, 2010

Jul 12 : The authority  in reviews of consumer products, the ad-free, independent publication, Consumer Reports, has given its verdict after testing the iPhone 4. They have deemed that the iPhone 4’s reception problems are real, and as a result, they can’t recommend it till there’s a fix. ” It’s official. Consumer Reports’ engineers have just completed testing the iPhone 4, and have confirmed that there is a problem with its reception. When your finger or hand touches a spot on the phone’s lower left side—an easy thing, especially for lefties—the signal can significantly degrade enough to cause you to lose your connection altogether if you’re in an area with a weak signal. Due to this problem, we can’t recommend the iPhone 4.”

No big deal. People will still buy because is an Apple product. People will still buy because Steve Jobs said ” This is beyond the doubt, the most precise thing, and one of the most beautiful we’ve ever made… is the thinnest smartphone on the planet….It’s really really nice…..This doesn’t look like Apple… what are these lines? They are part of the primary structural elements of the phone… this is part of brilliant engineering….. It uses the band as part of the antenna system!”Pretty cool, huh?…..This is going to change everything… all over again……It represents what Apple is all about. We’re not just a tech company. Apple is more than that. It’s tech and humanity. It’s the hardware and the software working together….It’s the complete solution, so all of us don’t have to be system integrators.”

Don’t fret over this. Just buy it together with a casing and hold the phone in the mid section and  avoid touching the lower bottom sides. Temporarily,  wait and pray  for Apple to release a software fix/patch.
