iPAD opening sale in Singapore today ( 23 Jul )

The iPAD ” tsunami”  hit Singapore today at 10 am. Unlike the UK, USA and Japan’s opening sales, the crowds queuing up was unspectacular, each outlet reporting an average 50+ customers lining up to purchase. I supposed most enthusiasts and apple die-hard fans had already have their units acquired through direct imports or purchase through friends overseas.  Most of the 20+ retail outlets had reported sold out by late afternoon.

A Singapore IT enthusiast website Hardwarezone.sg did a survey yesterday ” How early do you plan to queue for the iPad tomorrow ? ” and this is the polling results:

HUNDREDS of eager customers got their hands on the much awaited iPad when 30 select Apple resellers opened their doors at 10am on Friday.
Some came from as far as China and Malaysia to wait in line for the device.
