This is a followup to my previous post where I described the upgrade of the original 1.6 rom to Eclair 2.1 . Subsequently , I have been requested to update the next upgrade steps to Froyo 2.2 ( Stephen’s build ). I started off the Froyo upgrade with ver 1.2 and had since then  moved up progressively to versions 1.5.0  till 1.5.3, 1.6.0, 1.6.1 and finally 1.7.0. Here I’d just elaborate the step-up to 1.5.1 which till now I have considered  it as the most stable build. Subsequent upgrades above 1.5.1 is simply an easy step done through recovery mode ( described at the end of this post ).
